Our Story

Silk Alchemy was born from the desire to create lasting memories using ancient art forms that can be passed down for generations. Our fine adornments are founded on principles of biomimicry, inspired by nature, and intended to empower the wearer. Each piece is designed to remind those whom they adorn that they are a part of nature. A talisman and a reminder for the wearer to follow their own unique truth and inner knowing.

All of our adornments are uniquely designed and handcrafted in Raglan, NZ using ancient techniques including hand fabrication and lost wax casting. Our jewellery is made from sterling silver, fine silver, and gold meaning every adornment will last a lifetime and can be passed down for generations. 

Our founder, Amanda Brown, desires for everyone to feel empowered to be the person they wish to become. Her work is deeply inspired by the natural world and her ancestors, who have gifted her botanical wisdom, worldly stories, and the love language of jewellery.

Our Studio


Every adornment is designed and handmade by Amanda in her Raglan studio, nestled in the native bush and overlooking the surf. The natural environment is where she draws inspiration for the jewellery she makes.
